Hey guys, a few years back you played at my place in Canada -- a little restaurant in an old church in a small town in Ontario. My kids came and heard you and they loved you so much they played your CD over and over and over again to the point the CD is no longer playable! So I'm on your site looking to buy another. Hope all is well with you and we still love your music.
Update - Have ordered "Pipeline" - thanks!
I'm with Amanda - obviously following her search since I also heard the same song on the same radio station and thought - Wow! I have to find these guys! Do come to Australia gentlemen - you'll receive a warm welcome!
I'm based in Melbourne, Australia. I just heard your song about the fly on the window sill played on our local independent radio station of which I'm a big supporter, (pbs fm) and was so impressed I rang the DJ to find out what your album was called so I could follow it up. I love the fact that you're a Scottish band yet use the Uileann pipes. While I love the bag pipes, I have to be in the mood to hear them, but I'm always in the mood for the Uileanns. I was wondering whether there was any chance of you coming to Australia. March is a fabulous time to come because the hot weather is dropping off, and there are a myriad of folk festivals - there's Womadelaide on the first weekend in March, the Brunswick Music Festival in mid-late march, the Port Fairy Folk Festival in late march and the National Folk Festival in Canberra at Easter. Cheers Amanda
saludos a la buena musica
I thoroughly enjoyed your performance with Aoife Clancy at Irish Fest in Milwaukee. This was the first opportunity I've had to hear you, and I'm hoping you'll be returning to Irish Fest in the future. I took some photos of all of you during the performance on Sunday afternoon. I've provided a link here if you'd like to see them. Cindy Donegan http://public.fotki.com/PhotobyCindy/
Saw you three in Milwaukee on Saturday night. You caught my ear right away! Thanks for what seems to me your fresh, interesting and original approach! Aoife's voice along with you works very nicely. I was on Beaver Island once 30 years ago. Assuming your boat trip there went alright, it must have been a quite lovely evening out in Lake Michigan. Peter Bradley Madison, Wisconsin, U.S.A.
Dear Dermot and Tom, I first heard your wonderful music at Common Ground on the Hill last year, bought your CD, and have played it pretty regularly each year. I'm working there again this summer. You and your music will be missed. Lois Hornbostel
